Ephemeral South

.... is an ongoing exploration of the quiet and often overlooked details that shape the landscape of North Carolina. Through close observation, the project focuses on impermanence, weather, texture, atmosphere, and the subtle traces of time found in forests, fields, waterways, and forgotten places. These photographs are less about documenting a location and more about practicing attention.

Held Objects

.... is a collection of studio-based photographs built around found and collected items gathered during daily life and field explorations. Shells, stones, feathers, fragments, and other ordinary objects become opportunities for contemplation. Removed from their original context, these objects invite new interpretations while retaining traces of their histories.

What Remains

.... explores cemeteries and memorial landscapes throughout the American South. The project is interested in memory, devotion, uncertainty, and the traces people leave behind. Rather than offering answers about belief or the afterlife, these photographs create space for reflection on love, loss, remembrance, and the enduring human desire to leave meaning behind.

Between Light and Dark

.... explores the transitional spaces between day and night, certainty and mystery, presence and absence. Using landscapes, night photography, and atmospheric conditions, the project reflects on wonder, scale, solitude, and the experience of standing within something larger than oneself.
